The United States Capitol in Washington, D.C., is a symbol of the American people and their government, the meeting place of the nation’s legislature. The Capitol also houses an important collection of American art, and it is an architectural achievement in its own right. It is a working office building as well as a tourist attraction visited by millions every year. Lamcraft, Inc. is proud to provide the Gift Shops in the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center with high-quality American-made bookmarks. The designers at Lamcraft worked with photographs of several of the statues erected in the Rotunda and in other public areas and created Custom Shapes bookmarks—laminated die-cuts for several of the states represented.

Some of the famous people’s likenesses that were produced as bookmarks include: Sojourner Truth, Helen Keller, Sakakawea, Eusebio Francisco Kino, Raoul Wallenberg and Frederick Douglass.

Do you have a special exhibit to announce or a particularly interesting artifact in your holdings? Do you wish to emphasize an architectural detail in your facility or tell the story of a founder or notable event? Ordering bookmarks from Lamcraft is as simple as 1-2-3. Just send us your images, a paragraph or two of text and give us an idea of what you wish to highlight on your personalized bookmark. Our designers and production staff will design your custom bookmark(s), send you a proof of each one, then print, laminate and ship.

We have low minimums (at least one carton – 100 pieces) and quantity discounts. Best of all, there are not extra fees for design (which includes one round of revisions). The price for one carton of our standard 2″ x 7″ bookmarks is $138 plus shipping; for four cartons the price is only $108 per carton. Our Custom Shapes die-cut bookmarks are $1.65 apiece for a carton of 100, with an additional one-time only die fabrication charge.

Our bookmarks are suitable for resale in bookstores or gift shops. Clear plastic stands with signage are available for counter top point-of-purchase displays. The bookmarks are ideal for volunteer outreach and donor appreciation. We also offer placemats and change mats, spiral bound journals, and our new For Keeps™ cards with detachable keepsake bookmarks.
